Acceptable Use and Cancellation Policy

We encourage customers to make full use of the PleaseSign Service for the electronic sending and signing of documents. From time to time, PleaseSign may, at its discretion, permit usage beyond the limits or parameters outlined in a customer’s applicable Service Level Agreement (SLA) or subscription plan.

PleaseSign reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or prevent access to the PleaseSign Service where a customer is found to be in breach of this Acceptable Use and Cancellation Policy, the Terms of Service, or any applicable agreement.

PleaseSign further reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, update, replace, or discontinue any plans, subscriptions, features, pricing, inclusions, or service offerings at any time. Where required by applicable law, PleaseSign will provide notice of such changes.

Electronic Communications Authorisation

By using the PleaseSign Service, you confirm that you have obtained the necessary consent to send electronic communications, including email and SMS, to end users. The PleaseSign account holder is responsible for ensuring that all recipients have provided valid authorisation to receive such communications. This includes, but is not limited to, signing notifications, reminders, multi-factor authentication (MFA) codes, and other transactional messages related to document signing. PleaseSign reserves the right to request proof of consent if required for compliance purposes.

Prohibited Use

In connection with the use of any PleaseSign Service, you must not:

  • Communicate in any way, shape, or form, abusive messages, defamatory, false or misleading statements, hate speech, or messages that threaten or incite violence.
  • Impersonate another individual, company, or entity, misrepresent your affiliation with another individual, company, or entity, or hide or attempt to hide your identity.
  • Interfere in any way, shape, or form with the normal functioning and operation of the Service.
  • Replicate, copy, reconstruct, or otherwise reproduce any feature, component, or intellectual property of PleaseSign, its services, ideas, branding, colours, or any other property or assets.
  • Decrypt or decipher transmissions, circumvent authentication measures, or otherwise attempt to compromise the security of the Service.
  • Attempt to prove or test the vulnerability of any part of the Service without proper authorisation.
  • Use the Service or any other aspect of the Service in violation of any applicable laws, including privacy laws in applicable jurisdictions.
  • Upload, use, or transmit any content, data, or materials that violate applicable laws or regulations.
  • Exploit the 30-day free trial or Access plan by using multiple email addresses to bypass payment for a subscription. Businesses found engaging in this practice will be required to subscribe to a paid plan or may have their account access restricted without notice.

Any contravention or violation of this policy may result in legal proceedings being brought against individuals and/or companies to the full extent of the law.

PleaseSign may, in its sole discretion, terminate access to the Service at any time for violations of the terms outlined in this Acceptable Use and Cancellation Policy. Terms not defined in this Acceptable Use and Cancellation Policy will be outlined and agreed to in the applicable Service Level Agreements (SLA) between you and PleaseSign.

Cancellation Policy

Subscribers on a PleaseSign subscription either monthly or annual plans may cancel their subscription at any time; however, cancellation does not entitle the subscriber to a refund for any portion of the current billing period or any prepaid subscription term.

Upon cancellation, the subscriber remains liable for:

  • All fees and charges associated with the current billing cycle (for monthly plans),
  • The full remaining balance of any prepaid, monthly installment or annual subscription term (for annual plans), and
  • Any outstanding usage charges, including but not limited to envelope sends, SMS credits, API usage, or overage fees incurred up to the date of cancellation.

Cancellation does not relieve the subscriber of any unpaid financial obligations under their SLA or Terms of Service.

Document Resource Limits

A standard send (also referred to as an envelope) may include:

  • Up to 20 documents
  • A maximum total of 200 pages per send (across all documents combined)
  • A combined total file size of 20MB per send
  • Up to 20 recipients in a single send or envelope (see note below for unpaid plans)

Users may request increased limits as follows:

  • Total page limit increase to 500 pages per send for an additional $3.65 AUD per instance
  • File size increase to 50MB per uploaded file (requests can be made via our Contact Page: https://pleasesign.com.au/contact)

Recipient Restrictions on Unpaid Plans

For security reasons, trials and unpaid plans are restricted to a maximum of 3 recipients per send.

This restriction is removed automatically once a customer upgrades to any paid subscription.

Note:  From 01/07/2026 The Free Forever plan will be replaced with the Access plan.
